Coral of life

Taking inspiration from corals, Zayne depicts corals as people. Just like how corals each have distinct colours, shapes and patterns, people are all unique in their own way. Each individual comes together to form a vibrant lively community, much like how beds of corals form a visual kaleidoscope of vibrant colours. Rainbow ripples surrounding the corals represent connection and joy derived from play, strengthening bonds between people, creating a beautiful memory for all.

Zayne Pua, who lives with Anxiety Disorder, has been drawn to drawing and painting since childhood. As his condition developed, he discovered that creating art helped him manage anxiety and find moments of calm. Even after he was advised to stop school, he has continued to paint, holding closely to the practice that supports him. Today, art remains an important part of his life, offering both comfort and a sense of direction in how he moves forward.
