Golden coral

In the making of “Golden Coral”, the artist imagines the corals as people. Just like how corals each have distinct colours and shapes, everyone is unique. Each individual comes together to form a vibrant lively community, much like how beds of corals form a visual kaleidoscope of vibrant colours. The subtle white lines in the background represent the calm, deeper connection that play provides.

Zayne Pua, who lives with Anxiety Disorder, has been drawn to drawing and painting since childhood. As his condition developed, he discovered that creating art helped him manage anxiety and find moments of calm. Even after he was advised to stop school, he has continued to paint, holding closely to the practice that supports him. Today, art remains an important part of his life, offering both comfort and a sense of direction in how he moves forward.
