By Quazza Ilhandyl Bin Mohammad Joppri

Drawing inspiration from the game Poppy Playtime, this artwork presents three imaginative creatures, each uniquely crafted by the artist. Yarnaby, made entirely of yarn, brings a tactile, playful texture to the piece. Doey, composed of dough, adds an element of softness and malleability, embodying a sense of childlike wonder. Finally, Pianosaurus, a toy dinosaur holding a toy keyboard in its mouth, merges the worlds of play and music. Through these quirky and charming characters, the artist explores the intersection of childhood imagination and playful absurdity.

About

Quazza, 15, was diagnosed with mild Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at the age of four. He began his digital art journey during his school years and continues to create in his leisure time. As the eldest of five siblings, Quazza uses art as an emotional outlet, especially during times of stress or when he finds it difficult to cope with his emotions at home. Despite facing developmental challenges, Quazza demonstrates remarkable perseverance, using art as a powerful means of self-expression. His vivid imagination fuels the creation of an original world of his own, filled with unique monster characters — each with its own story. These imaginative creations inspire him to produce unique art pieces that reflect both his inner world and creative spirit. Quazza’s art showcases his unique perspective and determination to overcome obstacles, making it not just a passion, but an essential part of his personal journey. His dream is to become a graphic artist or designer for LEGO or a gaming company, where he can bring his world of monster creations to life.
