"Where is Cindy?" was created in memory of Fadhil's beloved cat, Cindy, who passed away last year. Fadhil often found himself asking, "Where is Cindy?" as he missed her deeply. A dreamer and animal lover, Fadhil envisions Cindy among the stars — floating in the vastness of space, cradled by the cosmos, a symbol of eternal love and gentle remembrance. In his batik painting, he envisions Cindy now living in space, a symbol of his love and hope. Through this artwork, Fadhil not only honours her memory but extends his love to all cats in Singapore, those he cares for in his community, and the many others across the island.
About
With the same patience he shows while spending time with his family's seven cats, Fadhil brings meticulous attention to his artistic practice. Living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), he channels his love for manga and robots into detailed character drawings, approaching each piece with careful observation and precision. His calm demeanour and attentive nature shine through in artwork that captures both his technical skill and imaginative spirit.
