By Walter Lee Xhian

Nestled deep within a sea of lush greenery, the iconic Bandstand at the Singapore Botanic Gardens stands as a quiet landmark that brings the artist a deep sense of calm. Using carefully cut and layered pieces of paper in rich shades of emerald, turquoise, and gold, Walter builds up texture and colour, capturing the dappled light filtering through branches and the soft, leafy surroundings. Through this thoughtful arrangement, he conveys a beautiful sense of balance and quiet joy, celebrating the timeless harmony and playful connection between nature’s living beauty and Singapore's treasured heritage.
