"Family Cohesion and Growth" depicts a joyful flight training and playtime for this harmonious Kite’s (medium sized bird of prey) family. Both birds swoop around gracefully against the vibrant background. This painting symbolizes the importance of family love through the loving and caring play by the parents and/or elder siblings in ensuring the growth of the young ones. For Vincent, Shaping Hearts is like a big family composed of family members from all aspects of life sharing each experience for the growth and development of others.

About

Vincent is a two-time stroke survivor, educator and artist who believes every painting is “a dream come true” and a source of hope, peace and harmony. Although he discovered his love for art at a young age, he began pursuing it more seriously after a stroke in 2010. Having lost much function in his dominant right hand, he taught himself to paint with his left hand using acrylics. Through determination and perseverance, art became both rehabilitation and a powerful expression of resilience and optimism.
