Singapore is proudly represented by the Vanda Miss Joaquim orchid — chosen as the national flower for its resilience and ability to bloom throughout the whole year. Like this extraordinary bloom, our youths, too, embody quiet strength. Despite the challenges they face, they continue to persevere, to grow, and to flourish, each in their own areas of expertise and unique pathways. Blossoming with purpose, skill, and heart.
About
With an eccentric artistic style uniquely her own, Brenda draws inspiration from the everyday foods that catch her eye. Her sketches come alive through experimental use of colours and shapes, reflecting both her observant nature and creative spirit. Living with mild Intellectual Disability has not diminished her ability to express herself — whether through her articulate words or vibrant artwork, she shares her distinctive perspective of the world around her.
