This artwork brings together CHIJMES, a historic church hall, and the graceful Sultan Mosque in Kampong Glam — two beloved places where visitors gather, whether for quiet prayer or to soak in the rich heritage. In the background, the vibrant Marina Bay skyline rises, a symbol of Singapore’s dynamic urban spirit and thriving economy. Surrounding these landmarks are flowers bursting with colour, a heartfelt tribute to Singapore’s identity as a peaceful, serene, garden city. This artwork displays a delicate balance of tradition, faith, and modern life, all flourishing together.
About
Living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Kevin is a quiet, patient self-taught artist who creates intricate, detailed works, particularly of architectural structures. Inspired by Stephen Wiltshire's panoramic cityscapes, Kevin is passionate about drawing and making models of buildings, with the miniature model of Singapore at the URA Gallery Centre serving as a key influence. He explores various mediums, including charcoal and chalk pastels, while seeking guidance from the staff at The Art Faculty to further develop his skills.
