Waiting

The artwork depicts the all-encompassing feeling of "Waiting". A bluejay stands perched on a branch, staring longingly into the distance. The contemplative bird captures the process of waiting. As one waits, all they can do is observe their surroundings and flip through the pages of thoughts about what the future holds. For Tricia, she imagines time as holding one hostage as everyone moves on without the subject. One can only hope that whatever they are waiting for comes and saves them.

About

Tricia Woo is an artist with Schizoaffective Disorder whose early interest in art was shaped by a supportive art teacher who served as an important influence in her development. After a period away from art, she rediscovered her creative practice through her love of cats, finding that photography alone could not fully express her connection to them. Today, she primarily draws animals as a way of expressing her innermost thoughts and emotions.
