In line with the Shaping Hearts 2026 theme, “PLAY connects people,” this painting highlights how hobbies and shared interests can bring happiness, build confidence, and create meaningful connections with others. This artwork reflects some of the artist’s favourite interests and activities, such as badminton, gaming, drawing, and using the computer. Through simple objects and soft colours, the artwork captures the joy and comfort he finds in both play and creative expression.

Jit Liang, who has an intellectual disability, is a passionate and emerging artist whose work explores themes of transformation, resilience, and hope. Having once been influenced by the wrong crowd, he has since made significant strides to turn his life around. Now living in a care home, Jit Liang is dedicated to personal growth and takes responsibility for his journey. He actively supports his peers and mentors, using his art as a means of self-expression and a way to inspire those around him.
