Magical Blue Sea

Although she is non-verbal, Kai Chin expresses her thoughts, emotions, and imagination creatively through colours, textures, and visual storytelling. "Magical Blue Sea" is Kai Chin’s creative exploration of the world under the sea, where dolphins swim and mermaids reside. The dolphins symbolise freedom, joy, and connection, while the vibrant blue surroundings create a peaceful and imaginative atmosphere. She hopes that this artwork leads viewers to imagine their own whimsical world under the sea, evoking a playful mood.

Kai Chin, diagnosed with Intellectual Disorder, finds joy in colouring and creating vibrant artworks. Although non-verbal, she expresses her thoughts, emotions and imagination through colour, texture and visual storytelling. Art provides a meaningful outlet for communication and connection, where her sensitivity to colour and pattern shines through. She especially enjoys floral themes, imaginative scenes and expressive colour combinations that capture her cheerful and creative spirit.
