Joshua paints the blue shoebill, a majestic bird found at Bird Paradise, using subdued blues that convey its imposing presence. The soft yet rich tones emphasise its elegance and strength, capturing the bird’s regal and almost otherworldly aura. Through this subtle use of colour, Joshua invites the viewer to appreciate the shoebill’s quiet authority and graceful poise, evoking a sense of awe in its natural beauty.

Since discovering art, Joshua has developed a distinctive creative voice that speaks through vibrant colours, particularly in his signature blue palettes. At 18, he transforms quiet moments spent observing nature into expressive works that bridge his inner world with those around him. Diagnosed with severe Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in his early years, he has overcome challenges in cognitive, language, and motor skills to forge his own artistic path.
