By Muhammad Syazwan Bin Rahmat
Inspired by the ethereal dance of the Aurora Borealis, also known as the Northern Lights, they grace the skies of Sweden, Finland, Norway, Russia, Canada, Alaska, and southern Greenland. This painting was born from a moment of awe. The first time the artist saw their shimmering glow in a video, it made him cry as he was touched by the profound peace and breathtaking view of the beauty of nature. He painted this with the hope that its gentle hues and flowing forms will carry viewers to that same place of wonder, serenity, and quiet joy, reminding them all of the magic that dances quietly above them.
About
Muhammad Syazwan Bin Rahmat, a 27-year-old home baker of six years, lives with Epilepsy and Major Depressive Disorder. Aside from baking, he enjoys cooking and singing, which have been his primary creative outlets. Recently, he discovered the therapeutic power of painting, finding it to be a new way to relieve the weight of his challenges. While baking and singing have always been his forms of art, painting offers a unique sense of satisfaction, allowing him to express himself without any "rules." For Syazwan, painting has become another vital tool for healing and personal growth.
