By Tan Hui Zhen, Artzillions

Through delicate brushstrokes, Hui Zhen evokes the possibility of harmony between nature and urban growth in Singapore. The Singapore Flyer stands as a symbol of the city’s progress, yet it invites reflection on how nature can flourish within the expanding urban landscape. A great hornbill, perched gracefully on a branch, framed by the Flyer and the city skyline, its presence a testament to the resilience of wildlife amidst the march of modernity. In this piece, Hui Zhen encourages viewers to ponder: As Singapore continues to grow, how can we ensure that nature is given the space it needs to thrive alongside our ambitions?
