This artwork brings to life the iconic terraced fields of Vietnam's Northern mountains, crafted from thousands of small silk scraps by the skilled hands of disabled artisans at VỤN Art. Each piece of silk captures the beauty of the landscape while reflecting the perseverance and creativity of the artists, transforming simple materials into a stunning tribute to both the region's natural wonders and the strength of human expression.
About
At Vụn Art, a group of artists with disabilities has found a powerful way to express themselves through collage paintings made from fabric scraps. Nguyễn Văn Quảng, Trịnh Quốc Bảo, and Đặng Thị Luyến, all born with congenital deafness and muteness, along with Trương Thụy Hoàng Mỹ, who faces depression, have transformed leftover silk pieces into stunning works of art. Through their creativity, they demonstrate how art can transcend challenges and empower those who create it.
