Tanjong Katong Village, once a coastal haven south of Geylang in the 1920s, thrived with kampong houses, sandy shores, and a lively fishing community. Over time, urbanisation gave rise to developments like Tanjong Katong Complex and the new MRT station, yet its spirit lingers in the stories and memories of the past. This artwork captures that warmth and essence, preserving a piece of Singapore’s history in a city ever in flux.
