By Thaddeus Chew, Extraordinary People Limited
In celebration of Singapore’s 60 years of independence, Thaddeus pays tribute to the nation's journey with a playful nod to its beloved unofficial mascot, the otter. Long embraced by Singaporeans for their charm, resilience, and community spirit, becoming Singapore's unofficial but adopted national animal mascot. In this vibrant piece, Thaddeus paints a peaceful raft of otters drifting together, their forms brought to life in a flourish of colour and joy. Their gentle procession hints at a shared purpose, a quiet strength in togetherness, and a future brimming with possibility. As they glide forward, we wonder: where might their journey take them? What new stories await just beyond the canvas?
