"Standing Tall at SG60" depicts an artwork that may look simple, but it was created with a lot of care and effort. The artist wanted to craft something meaningful to celebrate Singapore's 60th birthday. Each part of the painting, from the Merlion to Marina Bay Sands, symbolises the artist's pride in being a Singaporean. As the artist painted, the artist reflected on Singapore's long and incredible journey and how appreciative the artist is to be living in Singapore. The colours and symbols capture the artist's love for Singapore, hoping that Singapore will continue to grow stronger in unity. This piece shows a small but sincere way of saying thank you to the place the artist called home.
