The bold reds and oranges evoke childhood memories, while the swirling blue and white coils represent movement and change. Set against a dreamy cityscape, the artwork honours Singapore’s cultural heritage while capturing its rapid transformation, reminding us how the past continues to shape the future.

About

Sijun is a cheerful boy who finds joy in painting vibrant, colourful scenes. Born with Down Syndrome and Congenital Heart Defect, he has faced many challenges, including surgeries and difficulties with speech, vision, and gripping objects. Nevertheless, his love for painting has remained strong. Though he paints slowly, carefully filling each canvas stroke by stroke, he never gives up. Outside of painting, Sijun enjoys designing dream homes on his iPad and aspires to study interior design, hoping to create beautiful spaces that bring joy, just like the colours in his artwork.
