Dating back to more than 1,500 years, the Lion Dance is more than just a performance, it is a vibrant tradition steeped in strength, spirit, and celebration. Often seen at the launch of new beginnings, from shop openings to festive occasions, the lion performed to chase away evil, bringing in blessings of good fortune, luck, and prosperity. Every Chinese New Year, the rhythmic drum beats and swirling movements of the lion awaken communities with hope and joy, which is a timeless dance that continues to breathe life into cherished traditions.

After a life-changing car accident in 2005 that left her with C6 spinal cord injury, Christina Lau discovered new ways to express herself through art. Despite being paralysed from her chest down and the loss of finger movements, she transformed her journey from Prison Officer to artist, demonstrating remarkable resilience. Through her artwork, she continues to share her unique perspective, proving that creativity knows no physical bounds.
