The Lion Dance has long been woven into the fabric of Singapore’s celebrations, a vibrant symbol of joy and strength throughout the year. In this painting, Chalmers captures the lion’s powerful leap, soaring high towards the ‘green', a graceful dance of bringing the nation's prosperity to greater heights. As Singapore marks 60 years of nation-building, this artwork becomes a heartfelt wish, urging all Singaporeans to rise boldly, reaching ever higher, with the boundless sky as their only limit, and prosperity lighting the way on the world stage.
