By Tan Beng Leong, Daniel, Mouth and Foot Painting Artists
On a starlit Christmas Eve, Santa Claus has gently touched down with a parachute. Snowflakes shimmer, soft as dreams, as he brings not just gifts, but wonder — the kind that lights up a child’s eyes and lingers in the heart long after the wrapping is gone. With every carefully placed present, he leaves behind the magic of belief, the warmth of love, and the timeless joy of giving. In the hush of night, chimneys become doorways to hope, and rooftops echo with the quiet promise that kindness still finds its way, one home at a time.
About
Tan Beng Leong, Daniel suffered a spinal cord injury in 1982, leaving him with Quadriplegia. Despite the challenges of his new reality, Daniel found a way to express himself through art. Using a brush in his mouth, he began painting, turning what could have been a limitation into a powerful form of self-expression. His artwork reflects his strength, resilience, and determination, showing that creativity can thrive even in the face of adversity.
