锦鲤源自中国,早年传入日本。十九世纪初,新潟农民培育出色彩斑斓的新品种,经改良后成为极具观赏价值的 “水中活宝”。 锦鲤承载美好寓意,因谐音被赋予 “年年有余”“鲤鱼跳龙门” 等象征,代表好运与富贵。心情烦闷时,观锦鲤悠游,便能舒缓情绪,心境平和。 Note: The title 玩赏 translates to "Play" and "Admire." Together it means to enjoy and take pleasure (or delight) in, such as enjoy and take pleasure in a certain scenery.
About
Living with Schizophrenia, Choon Heng discovered a passion for art after joining the Singapore Association for Mental Health (SAMH) in his forties. Since beginning his journey with SAMH Creative Services in 2011, he has explored a variety of artistic mediums, developing a particular affinity for acrylic painting. Through art, he finds a sense of calm, focus and personal fulfilment, while years of practice have nurtured both his skills and confidence. His dedication to painting led to a stint as an assistant art teacher, and his works have been recognised through participation in art competitions and exhibitions. An active participant in Shaping Hearts over the years, Choon Heng continues to share his creativity through art while finding joy in meaningful engagement with the community.
