By Mr. Pichet Honghan, Art No Hand Foundation
Sakon Nakhon, Thailand
This painting captures the heartfelt simplicity of rural life, where a deep connection to nature and community defines each day. People live by the philosophy of sufficiency economy, relying on each other and the land. Whether farming, fishing, or crafting, their way of life is rooted in tradition. Inspired by a tender photograph of a young rural child, the image was transformed into an oil painting by art teacher Ajarn Kongrit Laothong, preserving the warmth and mutual support that binds these communities.
