On this day, a nuclear power plant near Alaska erupted in a silent catastrophe. No human presence was confirmed within the facility, though the density of the rising fumes left everything in question. The strange plume ascended high into the atmosphere, where it appeared to interfere with the aurora borealis — a phenomenon long considered untouchable. In a surreal twist, the aurora melted. This image captures the eve of the world’s first "rainbow raindrops". The skies shimmered in impossible colours, and droplets refracted like prisms. Yet, whether this dazzling rain is safe for human exposure remains uncertain. What is beauty without understanding?
