By Nicholas Pang, Artzillions
Nicholas' artwork captures the charm of Singapore’s vintage stamps, celebrating the nation’s rich history and cultural heritage. Using acrylics, he intricately recreates a classic postage stamp, featuring the vibrant and symbolic orchids that are iconic to Singapore. This work speaks to the deep-rooted connection between the country’s flora and its cultural identity, immortalising nature's beauty through artistic expression.
About
Diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at the age of three, Nicholas embarked on his journey with early intervention and specialised behavioural therapy. With the support of a dedicated teacher and friends at Mulberry Preschool, he gradually developed the skills and confidence to engage fully with the world around him, even taking part in year-end concerts. To provide him with a tailored learning environment, his transition to Primary One was delayed by two years. Now in his second year of primary school in 2025, Nicholas continues to thrive at his own pace within a supportive and inclusive setting.
