By Nicholas Pang, Artzillions
Inspired by Singapore’s vintage stamps, this artwork blends nostalgia with a celebration of nature’s beauty. A bee, carefully detailed, nestles gently upon a vibrant flower as it collects nectar, embodying the delicate harmony that sustains the natural world. Bold colours and intricate textures bring the scene to life, imbuing it with a sense of movement. Framed by a stamp-like border, the piece honours Singapore’s philatelic history, evoking a timeless connection to both nature and heritage.
About
Diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) at the age of three, Nicholas embarked on his journey with early intervention and specialised behavioural therapy. With the support of a dedicated teacher and friends at Mulberry Preschool, he gradually developed the skills and confidence to engage fully with the world around him, even taking part in year-end concerts. To provide him with a tailored learning environment, his transition to Primary One was delayed by two years. Now in his second year of primary school in 2025, Nicholas continues to thrive at his own pace within a supportive and inclusive setting.
