This painting captures the vibrant marine life beneath Singapore’s waters, teeming with colour and energy. Above the surface, the morning sun rises over the "Neptune Canopus", the General Bulk Carrier featured in Singapore’s Ship Series currency notes. Along the journey, various species of marine wildlife depicted on the Ship Series notes and coins accompany the vessel, symbolising the interconnectedness of nature, trade, and progress. Together, these elements reflect six decades of Singapore’s financial development and prosperity, displaying the nation’s maritime heritage, economic resilience, and enduring commitment to sustainability.
