Sunset Skates

Having recently picked up skateboarding, Nadya now often finds herself out of the house skating. Fuelled by her passion for skateboarding, she created this acrylic piece. While for now she skates alone, she imagines skating with her friends into the sunset in this artwork. The artist hopes this artwork will evoke feelings of nostalgia and friendship within viewers through the bright warm sunset, and inspire viewers to be more carefree and have fun once in a while.

For Nadya, art is a language of its own. Since childhood, she has found joy in drawing and colouring, using creativity as a way to explore her thoughts and emotions. What started as a favourite pastime gradually became an important source of comfort and self-discovery. Living with Depression and Anxiety Disorder, she enjoys creating from imagination, allowing ideas to unfold naturally on the page or canvas. Whether inspired by a feeling or a memory, Nadya approaches art with openness and authenticity.
