Inspired by Catherine’s pets, the painting features 3 goldfish swimming gracefully among blooming pink lotuses and lily pads. Their bright orange-red bodies, shimmering with golden scales and large expressive eyes, pop vividly against the deep, cool blue of the water.
Weaving the bold warm tones of the fish and the muted cooler blue hues of the water, Catherine creates a striking balance between warmth and calm. The result, a lively underwater scene that captures both her affection for her goldfish and her playful, expressive painting style

Catherine, who has an Intellectual Disability, is an emerging artist who has recently discovered a passion for drawing and painting. Currently attending vocational training at the MINDS Regional Hub (Woodlands), she has been exploring her creativity and developing her artistic skills. Catherine's ability to express herself through art is becoming an exciting new chapter in her journey, as she continues to challenge herself and refine her creative skills.
