Blooming Joy Together

"Blooming Joy Together" shows bright red flowers with yellow centres rising on slender white stems, framed by soft purple leaves. Bold colours and splattered paint create energy and movement, while each unique bloom growing side by side symbolises people of all backgrounds and abilities sharing the same space. Like flowers supporting one another as they flourish, the artwork reflects how play brings people closer and celebrates individuality through rich textures and expressive patterns. Inspired by shared moments of connection, the vibrant flowers blooming as one reminds viewers that play nurtures belonging, confidence, and inclusion.

Tham Saik Tong is an artist who discovered his creative interest through drawing subjects such as clouds, lightning and speakers. He carefully observes their shapes and translates them into drawings, exploring line, shading and structure. Through weekend art classes, he has learned new techniques and built his skills and confidence over time. Living with an intellectual disability, he continues to grow as an artist through curiosity, dedication and consistent practice.
