Owlie the silent watcher

A solitary owl perched upon a pale, weathered branch and it is rendered with careful attention to texture and form. Most striking are the owl's large, blue-grey eyes; glassy and intent, giving the creature a gentle, contemplative presence. The background is deliberately minimal so as to draw full attention to the subject. The white and grey branch balances the richness of the bird's colouring without competing with it. The artist hopes that viewers, like this owl, are able to find comfort in the peaceful silence while observing life around them.
