Whispers of the Mountain Lake

Glassy blue waters flow gently along the lake. Along its banks stand towering verdant pine trees, emerging from the grass field beneath. As the gentle wind swept across the field, wisps of grass swayed softly beneath. Majestic mountains stand tall in the background, rising beneath the clear sky. The artist uses rich greens, cool blues, and warm autumn tones to create a sense of stillness and reflection, inviting the viewer to take in a serene wilderness untouched by time.

Victor Hoon lives with Quadriplegia following a road traffic accident in 2005 that resulted in a C4/C5 spinal cord injury. He discovered mouth painting during SPD’s Transition Programme for Employment, guided by artist Christina Lau. What began as a new experience grew into a meaningful form of self-expression. Through steady practice, mouth painting has become both his creative outlet and an important part of his identity.
