Tulips

The artist offers a vibrant rendition of tulips in a seemingly endless field of flowers. Sunlight filters through the tops of the leaves, illuminating their edges with a delicate glow. A sea of pink blossoms forms the background, while the tulips stand out in elegant variety. Originating from Central Asia and cultivated in the Netherlands, tulips are admired for their smooth, cup-shaped blooms and cheerful colours which are among the world’s most beloved ornamental flowers

Daniel Tan Beng Leong suffered a spinal cord injury in 1982, leaving him with Quadriplegia. In 2009, encouraged by friends, he began exploring mouth painting as a means of artistic expression. As a self-taught artist, he pursued this new path with determination and patience, steadily developing his practice over time. His works, often featuring vibrant animal themes and landscapes, reflect both his creativity and perseverance, growing into a distinctive visual language shaped by persistence and passion.
