Racing Through Terminal 2

This watercolour by Yan Min was inspired by a trip to Changi Airport Terminal 2 with colleagues. Fascinated by the ceiling’s unique design, which reminded her of a racing track, she created this imaginative rendition of the scene. Using flowing watercolour techniques and expressive forms, the artist transformed her experience into a lively and creative composition that reflects movement, excitement, and imagination. The artwork beautifully showcases Yan Min’s ability to interpret everyday experiences in her own artistic way, while capturing the joy and inspiration she found during the outing.

Yan Min, diagnosed with mild Intellectual Disability, is a creative individual whose love for performance and art shines through her work. Having participated in dance performances and fashion runway showcases, she brings a sense of confidence, joy and individuality to everything she does. Her artworks are often filled with bold colours and expressive forms, reflecting her vibrant outlook and playful creativity. Since developing her interest in art during her time at Metta School, she has continued to explore drawing and other artistic mediums as a way of sharing her imagination with others.
