Jungle of Connected Moments

A string of brightly coloured trinkets hang from a branch. Among the thick tropical leaves, a parrot swoops in, perching from the branch. It hops, nudging the trinkets, moving with curiosity and energy. The playful parrot is a metaphor for the artist’s delightful memories of laughter and exploration with family and friends. For Wang Shuo, these small yet joyful moments of discovery bring him closer to his loved ones and make ordinary days feel special.

About

Wang Shuo is a young artist with Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy who uses drawing as a gentle but powerful way to express his inner world. Inspired by childhood memories, everyday moments, and cartoons, his work is full of colour, detail, and life. Since joining the MDAS Art Class in 2014, he has continued to grow in a supportive environment where art has become both comfort and voice. Despite physical challenges, he creates with patience and determination, using traditional drawing, creating social media posts and editing videos to share his imagination.
