The Game Between Water and Sky

Perched among flowers above a tranquil pond, a kingfisher holds a small fish, captured in a moment of poised stillness after flight. As viewers collectively gaze upon the artwork, it invites a subtle type of play. Shared attention is diverted towards the same artwork, viewers notice the bird’s graceful movements and delight together in the rhythm of nature. In this gentle exchange, observation becomes a bridge, turning a simple moment into a shared experience that quietly connects viewers.

About

Nicholas is an artist who expresses himself through drawing, painting and visual art, using colour and composition to communicate emotion and ideas. Living with Muscular Dystrophy, he continues to create with determination, with support from MDAS. His practice began in childhood and has grown into a meaningful journey of self-expression. In 2024, he designed an artwork adapted into a pouch that he confidently shared and sold. Through art, Nicholas continues to build his voice, confidence and personal style.
