By Tan Zhi Jun Caleb, Muscular Dystrophy Association (Singapore)
With one eye slightly larger than the other, the cat curiously observes the world in a way that feels both intentional and playful, nudging and prancing in ways that catch people’s attention. Its little antics invite those around it to stop, smile, or reach out, turning a simple encounter into a shared moment of joy. Through these playful gestures, the orange tabby becomes a quiet connector between people, showing how even small, everyday interactions can bring people together.
About
Caleb is an artist who enjoys painting with colour combinations and patterns, exploring how colours interact to create expressive and visually engaging works. Living with Muscular Dystrophy, he experiences physical challenges that affect movement and fine motor control, but continues to engage actively in art by adapting his process and focusing on painting as a form of expression. His interest in art began in primary school and developed through secondary school art lessons and CCA from 2020. He continues his artistic journey at MDAS, where he explores new techniques and builds confidence through colour experimentation.
