"Where Currents Bring Us Together" is inspired by the shared moments of Daniel and his parents watching fish swimming around its bowl. As they watch on keenly, they exchange guesses as to where the fish will dart to next, sharing laughter. For Daniel, this moment feels like a quiet, shared game as every flick of the fish’s tail feels like a small surprise. Daniel hopes to highlight through his artwork that viewers should cherish such little moments of playful back-and-forth, where they connect in a way that’s just theirs.

About

Daniel is an artist with Muscular Dystrophy (MD) who works with watercolour and acrylic to depict buildings, vehicles and animals in an Impressionistic style. He creates his artworks in collaboration with his mother, forming a close and meaningful artistic partnership. His journey began with a fascination for military vehicles and expanded through art classes at MDAS in 2021. Daniel continues to develop his artistic voice through experimentation, collaboration and a shared love of creating.
