A Thread of Shared Play

"A Thread of Shared Play" is inspired by Daniel’s visit to the zoo, where he met a playful macaw. The colourful bird tugged and bounced at a dangling string as if it was playing its own little game. Both Daniel and his mother lean closer, grinning, copying its tugs, laughing quietly as they bask in its playful curiosity. For a few moments, the macaw’s game becomes theirs. Just like that, a simple observation turns into a shared spark of fun and connection.

About

Daniel is an artist with Muscular Dystrophy (MD) who works with watercolour and acrylic to depict buildings, vehicles and animals in an Impressionistic style. He creates his artworks in collaboration with his mother, forming a close and meaningful artistic partnership. His journey began with a fascination for military vehicles and expanded through art classes at MDAS in 2021. Daniel continues to develop his artistic voice through experimentation, collaboration and a shared love of creating.
