"The Ocean We Play Together" presents a plump, resplendent goldfish set against a deep, dark background, its scales rendered through careful stippling with highlights and shadows that convey a convincing three-dimensional form. Among the soft, swaying sea plants, the fish darts in and out in a playful rhythm, its lively dance recalling the shared curiosity and joy of discovering together. It is a reminder that imagination can turn ordinary spaces into moments of genuine connection.

Jayen is an artist who enjoys sketching and drawing, often inspired by everyday surroundings and familiar scenes. He has a strong interest in structures and systems, including houses, buildings and Singapore’s public transport network, as well as animals and symbols. Living with Muscular Dystrophy, he continues to engage in his creative practice, adapting his approach to support his expression and developing his artistic skills.
