The Canopy We Build Together

"Canopy We Build Together" presents a white parrot perched serenely upon a Sakura tree in full bloom, its soft pinks and blues lending the composition a quiet, dreamlike warmth. A vibrant cockatoo perches nearby, balancing colourful blocks in playful arrangement, its curiosity and joyful energy inviting the viewer to linger. The scene recalls the simple pleasures of building games and little discoveries made together, carrying with it the warmth of shared imagination.

About

Jayen is an artist who enjoys sketching and drawing, often inspired by everyday surroundings and familiar scenes. He has a strong interest in structures and systems, including houses, buildings and Singapore’s public transport network, as well as animals and symbols. Living with Muscular Dystrophy, he continues to engage in his creative practice, adapting his approach to support his expression and developing his artistic skills.
