Shared Grins of Mischief

In this mixed media work, the artist presents a dog grinning with unmistakable mischief, its gaze fixed directly on the viewer with playful, conspiratorial energy. Set against a bold, colourful orange background, the dog's body is rendered in blue and splashes of varied colour, its features and fur defined by thick, confident black lines that give the figure a lively, graphic quality. The interplay of negative and positive space adds visual dynamism to the composition, while the overall mood is one of joyful connection — a celebration of the fun and laughter shared between a pet and the people who love them.

Isaac began his art journey in 2023 through the Muscular Dystrophy Association Singapore (MDAS) as an emerging artist who enjoys expressing his creativity through drawing and visual art. Living with Muscular Dystrophy, he continues to navigate progressive physical challenges that affect movement and fine motor control, yet remains actively engaged in his creative practice. Through art, Isaac finds a meaningful space to relax, reflect and communicate his experiences, while continuing to grow his skills and creative voice.
