Many People, One Heart

By Leong Sijun, Artzillions

Different people. Different stories. One shared heart.

Created by Artist Leong Sijun, together with DPM Gan Kim Yong, Mayor Baey Yam King, Mr Kiat Lim (Patron of Shaping Hearts), Ms Jessica Jung (Recording Artist), and members of the community, this artwork brings different people, stories and perspectives together.

The figures come together in a circle, showing how play brings people together to build friendships, spark joy, and foster a sense of belonging. The colourful tiles remind us that every person is unique, yet together we create something greater than ourselves.

The heart symbolises kindness, compassion, and care - the value that bring us together. Through play, we celebrate our differences, strengthen our connections, and discover that no one stands alone. This artwork is a reflection of what can happen when we come together - different people, different stories, creating one shared heart.
