Lion

The Lion, a recurring motif in Singaporean iconography, embodies strength and courage. This artwork alludes to the legend of Sang Nila Utama and the discovery of Temasek, where he encountered a creature believed to be a lion. The vivid blues and greens evoke the island’s rich biodiversity, while Eera explores the interplay of colour and form to convey a sense of vibrancy, much like the dynamic energy of the island we call home.

About

Eera, a graduate of NorthLight School, is a determined and compassionate artist who has turned her personal challenges into a source of creative strength. Despite facing learning difficulties and disabilities in mainstream education, she found solace in art, using it to express her thoughts and emotions. Through her artwork, Eera also gives back to the community by donating proceeds to support elderly people with Dementia, blending her passion for art with a deep sense of care for others.
