The red hawker tray, with cracked eggshells and traditional fare, reflects connection and community, weaving a timeless thread through our everyday lives. These rituals transcend differences of age, background, and culture, nurturing the enduring kampong spirit. As we celebrate SG60, these everyday traditions remind us of our shared spirit and inspire us to preserve the values that shape our Singaporean identity. In a world that moves fast, it is these quiet, heartfelt moments that keep us rooted and define who we are as Singaporeans.

Meet Simeon Tan Rui En, a talented artist with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), celebrated for his vibrant, imaginative creations that span multiple mediums. Clay, in particular, provides him with a sense of calm and balance. In 2024, Simeon became the proud recipient of the North East CDC Shining Hearts Award, Neo Kah Kiat Arts Award and Liberty Arts Award. A NAFA CLE Visual Arts (2021) graduate with distinction, he has exhibited at Pathlight, ART:DIS and Shaping Hearts 2024.
