Khue Van Cac, a beloved symbol of Hanoi, has been lovingly reimagined by the hands of disabled artisans at Vụn Art. Using thousands of small silk scraps, they have transformed what was once considered waste into a powerful expression of creativity and resilience. This artwork is not just a tribute to Hanoi’s heritage, but a testament to the transformative power of art and the incredible strength of those who create it.
About
At Vụn Art, a group of artists with disabilities has found a powerful way to express themselves through collage paintings made from fabric scraps. Nguyễn Văn Quảng, Trịnh Quốc Bảo, and Đặng Thị Luyến, all born with congenital deafness and muteness, along with Trương Thụy Hoàng Mỹ, who faces depression, have transformed leftover silk pieces into stunning works of art. Through their creativity, they demonstrate how art can transcend challenges and empower those who create it.
