"Kampong of Cluck" is a whimsical, richly layered tribute to Singapore’s disappearing kampongs. Painted in acrylic and acrylic pens on a 50cm x 50cm linen canvas, the work shines with gold-leafed branches and 3D butterflies, inviting viewers into an imagined pastoral world, where chickens, cows, and cats roam freely among crowned henhouses. Beneath the surreal, striped trees, the scene hums with the joyful chaos of Kampong life, inviting viewers to create a dreamlike memory where the rural past is not lost, but lovingly remembered and reimagined.
