Kampong Lorong Buangkok, a rare treasure of old Singapore, has stood resilient since 1956, home to a close-knit community of Chinese and Malay residents living in harmony. Once spanning three football fields, it now finds itself gently encircled by the rise of modern high-rises like Buangkok Green and Fernvale. A new jogging track now loops around the Kampong, quietly marking the line between the past and the present. Yet, despite these changes, life here remains simple and serene, preserving the Kampong spirit that once defined Singapore.
