Sea Turtles

This circular painting, created on a dining carousel, pays homage to Issac’s twenty five years of living on the tropical island of Bali. A brilliantly coloured family of sea turtles swim among coral and marine plants, their patterned shells evoking individuality within harmony. The round canvas echoes the cyclical flow of currents and migration, while the domestic surface bridges everyday living with the vitality of the sea. This artwork celebrates the beauty of marine ecosystems and the enduring connection between island life and the ocean.

About

Isaac is an artist with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who draws inspiration from his upbringing in Bali. Surrounded by rich cultural traditions, nature and the sea, his experiences continue to shape his artistic expression. Through his work, he communicates a personal perspective filled with colour, harmony and a deep appreciation of heritage, which he continues to develop after returning to Singapore following the COVID-19 pandemic.
